Mental Health and Psychosocial Support(MHPSS) is an evidence-driven model which is right-based, scalable and sustainable.
A pilot project is being implemented in Islamabad Capital Territory to launch a helpline for MHPSS through intersectoral collaboration.
There are 3 Mobile apps that will be published under this project:

  2. My Care+
  3. mhGAP-PK

What personal information does the 'Hamdard Force' app require?

Hamdard force personnel enter following data when they are entering a case.
  • Name
  • Age
  • Contact number
  • Brief description of the problem
Name, age and contact details are required so that MHPSS experts can reach out to the person. Brief description of the problem is required so that MHPSS experts know about the case while talking to the person.
The Hamdard Force worker will seek permission before entering any case data:
  • For an Adult who needs help, user will take their permission clearly before sharing their contact details.
  • For children under the age of 16 years, user will take permission from a parent/guardian.
  • For individuals who need help and do not understand the nature of their condition but are at risk for self-harm or harm to others, the user can get permission from the main carer and send the carer's contact details.
The personal data will be shared by the team of Counsellors only, who have to offer help to the person whose details have been entered. The identity of the referred people will not be disclosed for research or any other purpose. The results (without revealing identity) will be compiled and used for monitoring and evaluating this service.
