
Razmin Shah
Razmin Shah is a Consultant Forensic Psychologist and the Forensic Lead at Al Jalila Children's Specialty Hospital in Dubai. She brings over 15 years of experience as a licensed Forensic Psychologist, with a career spanning the UK and UAE across a range of complex clinical, forensic, and community settings.
Prior to her current role, Razmin served as a Senior Forensic Psychologist within the Forensic Clinical Academic Group for Maudsley Health at Al Amal Hospital, Dubai. Her earlier experience includes extensive work within community child and family services, as well as forensic psychiatric inpatient services.
Having trained and practised in the UK, Razmin has worked in some of the most secure and challenging forensic environments, including Broadmoor and Rampton High Secure Hospitals as part of the Dangerous and Severe Personality Disorder (DSPD) programme. She has also worked within adolescent secure training centres and the prison service, supporting individuals with complex offending histories and high-risk presentations.
Razmin has acted as an Expert Witness in a range of areas, including sexual offending, personality disorder, criminal responsibility, mental capacity, risk assessment, and parenting assessments. Her work is recognised for its depth, clarity, and strong clinical formulation grounded in both evidence-based practice and cultural understanding.
In addition to her clinical work, Razmin provides supervision to psychologists and delivers specialist training. She offers forensic consultation to multidisciplinary teams on complex cases, including risk management, malingering, sexualised behaviours, and forensic psychological formulations for both children and adults.
Her specialist interests include risk assessment, trauma, personality disorder, violence and aggression, sexual offending, Islamic psychology, and the cross-cultural application of psychological models.
